Hogar de Granja - Orphanage:
San Marcos Sponsor's a cabin at the Hogar in La Pintana for 8-11 year old girls that are wards of the state.  The ministry includes monthly visits to the Home with games and goodies, visits to museums and parks and the annual Christmas party with food and presents and the story of that special night in Bethlehem.

Ruhama House Ministry:
Your life is a mess, your parents don't want you around anymore or worse yet, your step-father wants you to be a prostitute to support his drug habit.  To top it off, you were arrested and put in jail.  Where do you go from here, no one will hire you and you don't have any money to finish school, all seems hopeless.
But there is hope through Christ and the work he is doing through Wilma Cross. Ruhama House a half-way house for girls in their late teens continues to help give these women hope.
Wilma's ministry at Ruhama House helps these young women clean up their lives, finish school, build strength of character based on Biblical principles, and acquire the skills needed to find and hold a legitimate job where they can support themselves when they are out on their own.  Wilma also visits women in prison and San Marcos buys Christmas presents for the women prison guards.
San Marcos has been supporting this ministry for a number of years through gifts and prayer support.  For further information, contact  Jean Even  at 220-2081.

Wheelchairs to the World: Corporacion Cristiana de Ayuda al Discapacitado
Starting in 1994, Judy and Lee Swisher came to Chile to implement Joni and Friends vision of helping those living in isolation who lack simple mobility and are cut off from life by disabilities. Many disabled people in Chile are also tragically cut off from the local church and have never heard the gospel message or experienced the love of Christ.

From the very start, San Marcos has helped to support this ministry and over 1000 people in Chile have been given a wheelchair custom fit to their needs, a Bible and their family is presented with the Gospel. San Marcos also supports the JAF wheelchair repair shop in Santiago.

Check out a March 2004 presentation for an update and current needs!
